Do you have questions?

Ana Sofia Correia — Medical Translation Mentoring Program

If you're still unsure about joining the Medical Translation Mentoring program, I've compiled some of the questions you may have.

You can contact me by email or book a free discovery call at any time until registrations close.

Will this program give me any medical/healthcare knowledge? Does it include a course on medical translation?
The Mentoring Program is NOT a translation course. It will not give you any medical/healthcare knowledge, but we will work together to identify relevant training and terminology resources in your language combination.

I have a very busy and unstable schedule and may not be available to attend some live sessions. Will I be able to join the program?

Yes! Every week, I'll send you an email with action items that are relevant to that week's agenda. Plus, you'll have access to our exclusive LinkedIn group, where you can ask all your questions, as well as receive and give feedback on each other's work. And don’t forget the three 1:1 sessions, that are scheduled based on your availability. However, I strongly recommend attending the Brainstorming sessions, whenever possible, to make the most of this program.

The agenda seems very interesting, but I’m not sure if medical translation is what I want, or I don’t want to specialize in this field. Can I still join the program?

This mentoring program is specifically designed for translators who wish to specialize in medical translation. If you’re not sure if this is the field you want to specialize in, or if you know that medical translation is not for you, this may not be the ideal program for you. You can book 1:1 session(s) with me, and I'll help you individually.

If you want to participate in the Medical Translation Mentoring program anyway, contact me, and I'll let you know if there are any slots available after registrations close.

How many hours per week will I need to dedicate to this program?
It's entirely up to you how much time you spend each week. I recommend at least 3-4 hours per week (this includes one hour for our weekly Brainstorming session and the 1:1 sessions of 40 minutes).

Will I have access to any useful resources?
During the mentoring program, we all will share useful resources with each other, whether these are related to specialized terminology, CPD opportunities, or marketing. I will share resources that I consider relevant to medical translation (related to practice and business). Everyone is encouraged to share the information they find while working on their individual goals.

I work with a very uncommon language pair. Will this program be useful?
This mentoring program will benefit all translators who wish to specialize in the medical and life sciences field, regardless of their language combination.

What is included in this mentoring program?
This program includes:

  • Three 1:1 sessions, where we'll tailor the mentoring to your needs and assess your progress.

  • Eight weekly Live Brainstorming sessions, where you will have the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and receive feedback.

  • Weekly emails with action items to think about and implement based on each week’s topic (weeks 1, 4, and 8 will include a link to schedule your 1:1 session)

  • Access to an exclusive support group on LinkedIn, where you can ask questions, receive feedback, get to know your colleagues, and share information.
  • Monthly Q&A calls (after the program ends, we'll meet every month, and I will answer questions sent in advance).

How many people can join the Medical Translation Mentoring program?

There is no fixed number of participants. However, the program will be offered in a small, limited-enrollment setting to make sure that everyone gets the support they need.

How can I prepare for the sessions?

Every week, on Monday, I'll send you an email with action items for that week, inviting you to work on your specific needs based on that week's topic. For optimal results, I recommend that you keep track of all your progress and feedback you receive since your work in one week will build on what you have achieved in the previous week.

I’m still uncertain whether this program is for me. What should I do?

If you're still on the fence, contact me or book a free discovery call to chat about the program and see if it is for you.

What is the cost of the program?
If you subscribe to the Medical Translation Mentoring program updates, you'll have the possibility of registering at an early-bird fee of 340€.

After registrations open, the program will cost 390€.

What are the payment methods?
You can pay by credit card, PayPal, and bank transfer. Only payments in euros are accepted. The payment details and options will be available while completing your purchase.

Can I have more 1:1 sessions with you during and after the program?
