Will the Medical Translation Mentoring give me any medical/healthcare knowledge? Does it include a course on medical translation?
The Medical Translation Mentoring is NOT a translation course. It will not give you any medical/healthcare knowledge, but we will work together to identify relevant tools and resources in your language combination.

I’m not sure if medical translation is what I want, or I don’t want to specialize in this field. Can I still join the Medical Translation Mentoring?

The Medical Translation Mentoring is specifically designed for translators who wish to specialize in medical translation. If you’re not sure if this is the field you want to specialize in, or if you know that medical translation is not for you, this may not be the ideal program for you.

What makes your Medical Translation Mentoring stand out from the rest?

The Medical Translation Mentoring is specifically aimed at medical and life sciences translators, and combines personal and community-based experiences. It's tailored to meet individual goals at any experience level.

I work with a very uncommon language pair. Will the Medical Translation Mentoring be useful?

The Medical Translation Mentoring will benefit all translators who wish to specialize in the medical and life sciences field, regardless of their language combination.

I've been in translation for over 10 years. Would I still fit into the Medical Translation Mentoring?

Absolutely! Many participants are seasoned translators who have significantly benefited by optimizing their workflow, enhancing client acquisition strategies, and shifting their mindset as business owners.

Is the Medical Translation Mentoring only for those already working as medical translators, or can beginners join too?

The Medical Translation Mentoring is open to both experienced medical translators and those new to the field. Beginners benefit especially from the shared insights and experiences of seasoned professionals, gaining valuable practical knowledge right from the start.

What if I have no experience in medical translation?

The Medical Translation Mentoring is designed to support translators at all levels, including beginners. It's an excellent starting point if you're eager to transition into medical translation, with guidance tailored to your starting level.

I’m still uncertain whether the Medical Translation Mentoring is for me. What should I do?

Feel free to contact me or book a free discovery call to chat about the Medical Translation Mentoring and see if it is for you.

What are the payment methods?

You can pay by credit card, Wise, and bank transfer. Only payments in euros are accepted. The payment details and options will be available while completing your purchase.

How does Individual Mentoring differ from Group Mentoring in terms of outcomes?

The Individual Mentoring is perfect for those who value the flexibility to focus on specific areas of development and prefer a tailored mentoring experience. You will receive targeted support, whether you're just starting, looking to refine your skills, or aiming to expand your business and client base. The Group Mentoring is ideal for those who thrive in collaborative settings. You'll be able to engage with fellow professionals, establish meaningful connections, and enhance your marketing, networking, and translation skills within a supportive group environment.

Will the Group Mentoring or Individual Mentoring sessions be recorded?

No, the sessions will not be recorded.

Read the Terms & Conditions.

I have a very busy and unstable schedule and may not be available to attend some live sessions. Will I be able to join the Group Mentoring?

Yes! Every week, I'll send you an email with action items that are relevant to that week's agenda. Plus, you'll have access to our exclusive LinkedIn group, where you can ask all your questions, as well as receive and give feedback on each other's work. And don’t forget the three 1:1 sessions, that are scheduled based on your availability. However, I strongly recommend attending the Brainstorming sessions, whenever possible, to make the most of the Group Mentoring.

How many hours per week will I need to dedicate to this program?
It's entirely up to you how much time you spend each week. I recommend at least 3-4 hours per week (this includes one hour for our weekly Brainstorming session and the 1:1 sessions of 40 minutes).

Will I have access to any useful resources?
We all will share useful resources with each other, whether these are related to specialized terminology, CPD opportunities, or marketing. I will share resources that I consider relevant to medical translation (related to practice and business). Everyone is encouraged to share the information they find while working on their individual goals.

What is included in the Group Mentoring program?
The Group Mentoring includes:

  • Three 1:1 sessions, where we'll tailor the mentoring to your needs and assess your progress.

  • Eight weekly Live Brainstorming sessions, where you will have the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and receive feedback.

  • Weekly emails with action items to think about and implement based on each week’s topic (weeks 1, 4, and 8 will include a link to schedule your 1:1 session)

  • Access to an exclusive support group on LinkedIn, where you can ask questions, receive feedback, get to know your colleagues, and share information.

  • Monthly Q&A calls (after the program ends, we'll meet every month, and I will answer questions sent in advance).

How many people can join the Group Mentoring program?

There is no fixed number of participants. However, the program will be offered in a small, limited-enrollment setting to make sure that everyone gets the support they need.

How can I prepare for the sessions?

Every week, on Monday, I'll send you an email with action items for that week, inviting you to work on your specific needs based on that week's topic. For optimal results, I recommend that you keep track of all your progress and feedback you receive since your work in one week will build on what you have achieved in the previous week.

Can I get a full refund if I sign up but then decide not to participate in the Group Mentoring?

  • You can get a full refund if you notify me up to five (5) business days before the Group Mentoring start date.

  • If you cancel within the five (5) business days leading up to the Group Mentoring start date, you will receive a 50% refund.

  • Once the Group Mentoring has started, no refunds will be made.

This policy is due to the resources and arrangements made to accommodate each participant. To request a refund, please contact me directly. Ensure you provide all necessary details to help me process your request promptly.

If I cancel, can I join the next edition of the Group Mentoring?

I will prioritize new enrollments for each new edition. If you wish to transfer your registration to a future edition, I will let you know if there are any slots available after registrations for that edition close.

Read the Terms & Conditions.

How personalized is the Individual Mentoring?

The Individual Mentoring is highly personalized, focusing on your unique goals and challenges in medical translation. We tailor each session to address specific areas you want to develop, ensuring the mentoring aligns with your ambitions.

Can the sessions be adjusted based on my progress?

Absolutely. The program is flexible, allowing us to adjust the focus and content of the sessions based on your progress and evolving needs.

Is there a follow-up mechanism?

Yes, after the Individual Mentoring concludes, continued engagement is encouraged through the exclusive LinkedIn group and monthly Q&A calls. These platforms support ongoing learning and connection with the community.

Can I extend the program if needed?

If you find the need for additional sessions, we can discuss extending the Individual Mentoring to ensure you receive the comprehensive support you require.

Can I get a full refund if I sign up but then decide not to participate in the Individual Mentoring?

  • You can receive a full refund if you notify me up to five (5) business days before your free initial consultation.

  • If you cancel within the five (5) business days leading up to your free initial consultation, you will receive a 50% refund.

  • Once your free initial consultation session has taken place, no refunds will be made.

How long do I have to complete my sessions after booking?
  • Single Session: You must complete your session within three (3) weeks from the date of booking to ensure a focused and timely approach to your immediate needs or goals.
  • Three Sessions: You have a total of six (6) weeks from the date of booking to complete all three sessions. This timeline supports a structured approach to development, allowing time for reflection and application of insights between sessions.
  • Five Sessions: You have a total of ten (10) weeks from the date of booking to complete all five sessions. This extended period allows for a comprehensive exploration of your goals and strategies, providing ample time for implementation and feedback.
What is the rescheduling policy for sessions?
You can reschedule sessions if you provide at least 24 hours notice ahead of the scheduled time.
This policy is designed to offer flexibility while ensuring the mentoring process is not hindered by unforeseen circumstances. Failure to provide the required notice may result in the loss of the session without eligibility for a refund.
Why is it important to adhere to the completion deadlines?
Adhering to the completion deadlines for each session package is crucial for maintaining the program's effectiveness and momentum. These deadlines are set to ensure that you receive the full benefit of the mentoring process within a timeframe that supports sustained development and application.
What happens if I fail to complete my sessions within the designated time window?
If you do not complete your sessions within the specified time window you forfeit any remaining sessions, and refunds will not be issued for these uncompleted sessions.
This policy encourages a commitment to the mentoring process and respects the mentor's time and the preparation involved in personalizing your program.
Can I get an extension on my sessions?
Extensions on the completion deadlines may be considered in exceptional circumstances and are subject to approval. This flexibility is intended to accommodate genuine needs while preserving the integrity and effectiveness of the mentoring experience.
